You are what you eat

Diet changes – the jury is still out but it seems promising.
Over the past month I’ve changed my diet fairly radically (for me). No more takeaways (well, maybe a pizza once a week).

Instead, lots of fresh vegetables, organic where possible. I’m experimenting with salads, adding raw broccoli, grated carrot, fruits, and nuts, and so far I really like it. I also eat lots of cucumber, spring onions, apples, clementines, and so many bananas I’m starting to walk like a chimp. Happy

I’ve cut out coffee (apple cider vinegar in warm water makes a very refreshing substitute). Sugar is gone, too, and all meat is cooked under a grill or in the oven rather than fried. I’ve also cut out bread (not sure if this is such a great idea) and cut way down on my dairy intake. Biscuits (cookies) are now a rarity (I crumble them into a bowl of custard), although I still eat dark chocolate now and again which I think is supposed to be good for you.

I believe it’s made a slight difference. But I think I still have a long way to go to undo more than two and a half years of damage to my immune system.
